Roll Overview:
We are looking for an experienced MuleSoft Developer to design, build, and deploy robust APIs and Integration/ETL pipelines. A primary focus of this role will be migrating and replacing existing Azure Data Factory (ADF) pipelines with MuleSoft alternatives. You will be responsible for engineering both real-time synchronous and scheduled batch data flows between Salesforce and Azure SQL Database, ensuring high availability, data integrity, and optimal performance.
Key Responsibilities:
· Pipeline Migration: Re-architect and migrate legacy ETL/data pipelines from Azure Data Factory (ADF) into MuleSoft (Anypoint Platform).
· API & Integration Development: Design, build, and maintain real-time and scheduled batch integrations connecting Salesforce and Azure SQL.
· Salesforce Connectivity: Configure and manage Salesforce integrations using secure authentication methods, including Connected Apps, OAuth 2.0, and JWT.
· Database Operations: Write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and schema mappings within Azure SQL.
· Data Transformation: Utilize tools like DataWeave 2.0 (or similar) to handle complex data mappings, transformations, and error handling between source and target systems.
· Lifecycle Management: Manage the full API lifecycle, including design (RAML/OAS), implementation, testing (MUnit), deployment (CloudHub), and monitoring.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
· MuleSoft Expertise: 5+ years of hands-on experience with Mule 4.x, Anypoint Studio, and CloudHub. MuleSoft Certified Developer (MCD) preferred.
· Salesforce Ecosystem: Deep understanding of Salesforce integration patterns (REST/SOAP APIs, Pub/Sub API, Change Data Capture, Outbound Messaging) and Salesforce security/Connected Apps infrastructure.
· Strong SQL/Database Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Azure SQL or MS SQL Server, including writing efficient queries, indexing, and handling bulk data loads.
· ETL/Integration Mindset: Proven experience designing both event-driven (real-time) and batch-driven (scheduled) data integration pipelines.
· Cloud Experience: Familiarity with Microsoft Azure environments and a solid conceptual understanding of how Azure Data Factory operates (to facilitate the migration).
Additional preferred Skills/Expertise:
· Direct experience migrating data pipelines out of Azure Data Factory into a middleware layer.
· Knowledge of MuleSoft batch processing tuning for high-volume Salesforce data transfers.
· Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Bitbucket) for MuleSoft deployments.
