Job Title: Senior Associate – Citrix / Workplace Services Administrator

Job Description
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Subject Matter Expert in Citrix Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) and Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD). The candidate will be responsible for architecting, managing, and supporting large-scale virtual desktop environments for diverse customers. This role demands in-depth knowledge of Citrix technologies alongside strong expertise in Azure Virtual Desktop solutions, infrastructure design, implementation, and troubleshooting. The candidate will play a critical role in ensuring stability, performance, and scalability of virtual desktop services while providing L2 support and strategic guidance.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage Citrix VDI environments, including XenApp, XenDesktop, NetScaler, and related components.
- Architect and support Azure Virtual Desktop environments with strong understanding of Azure infrastructure and services.
- Execute Citrix farm upgrades, migrations, and performance tuning as per best practices.
- Manage application publishing, virtualization (using AppSense, Microsoft App-V), and printer management within Citrix environments.
- Configure and troubleshoot Citrix components including Load Manager, Resource Manager, Installation Manager, Citrix Edge Sight, and Smart Auditor.
- Manage Citrix policies, patching, roaming, and streaming profiles for optimal user experience.
- Provide L2 level technical support, incident resolution, and problem management aligned with ITIL processes.
- Maintain and improve service quality with a focus on first call resolution and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop service improvement plans and contribute to knowledge base updates and training programs.
- Participate in hiring, mentoring, and coaching of junior team members.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
Preferred Additional Skills
- Proficiency in managing Citrix VDI environments hosted on VMware infrastructure.
- Hands-on experience with Azure infrastructure services and AVD configuration, scaling, and automation.
- Experience with multisite Citrix farms, hybrid cloud deployments, and disaster recovery planning.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with ability to handle complex technical issues.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Active Directory administration and integration with virtual desktop environments.
- Knowledge of ITIL frameworks and IT Service Management (ITSM) best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technology field preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of ITIL principles and IT Service Management (ITSM).
- Current understanding of industry trends and methodologies.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
