Job Description :
Position Title: Sr. Sales Executive Department: Sales & Marketing (MRO / Industrial Automation) Location: Delhi NCR / Gurgaon Reporting To: Area Manager / Regional Manager
Role Overview:
The Sr. Sales Executive/ Sales Engineer, Sales Assistant Manager , Sales Manager will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, handling customer inquiries, preparing quotations, and ensuring sales growth in the assigned territory. This role demands proactive customer engagement, follow-ups, and coordination with internal teams to ensure smooth order execution and delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales & Business Development (50%)
Identify and develop new customers in the assigned territory.
Handle inbound/outbound calls, emails, and inquiries related to MRO/Industrial Automation products.
Prepare and share quotations as per customer requirements.
Proactively follow up on quotations to close deals and achieve targets.
2. Customer Relationship Management (20%)
Build and maintain long-term relationships with existing customers.
Provide timely solutions to customer queries and escalate issues if required.
Conduct regular customer visits and maintain high levels of satisfaction.
3. Market & Product Awareness (15%)
Stay updated on competitor activities, pricing, and market trends.
Promote company’s full range of MRO/automation products to customers.
Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
4. Operational Support (10%)
Coordinate with purchase, logistics, and accounts teams for order fulfillment.
Follow up on payment collection from customers.
Ensure timely and accurate documentation (quotations, orders, reports).
5. Reporting (5%)
Submit daily/weekly/monthly reports on sales performance.
Update CRM/ERP system with accurate customer and sales data.
Key Skills & Competencies:
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to work independently and achieve sales targets.
Good product knowledge of MRO/Industrial Automation solutions.
Customer-focused and result-driven approach.
Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
Qualification & Experience:
Graduate in Engineering / Business / Commerce (MBA preferred).
4–7 years of sales experience in MRO, Industrial Automation, or Engineering Products.
Performance Metrics (KPIs):
Achievement of individual sales targets.
Number of new customer acquisitions.
Growth in revenue from existing accounts.
Payment collection efficiency.
Customer satisfaction and retention rate.
