About the role

About this team and role: Anonym’s Infrastructure Team is a dedicated group of seasoned engineers committed to privacy, security, and automation. We leverage state of the art privacy-enhancing technologies such as Trusted Execution Environments (TEEs), differential privacy, and advanced encryption techniques to develop and maintain our data processing pipelines, cloud-native applications, and engineering tools. We are seeking a versatile, full-stack Software Engineer to enhance our go-to-market strategy by collaborating with advertising partners, ensuring secure measurement and optimization of advertising performance without compromising user privacy. As part of our team, you will work in a fast-paced startup culture developing Angular front-end applications, Java backend API servers, Python-based distributed data processing pipelines, and infrastructure across all major cloud service providers (Azure, AWS, GCP). Our team is distributed across North America, and remote work is our standard practice. What you’ll do: Design, implement, and maintain our core services and infrastructure built around distributed computing in Trusted Execution Environments. Reduce engineering toil by automating common engineering tasks. Optimize the performance of our python-based distributed processing pipelines running in Trusted Execution Environments. Monitor tests and alerts to prevent regressions and catch issues before they reach production. Help triage, test and fix reported bugs, reducing them to root causes and exploring potential solutions. Improve the user experience for partners and engineers who use our web-based user interface. Learn something new every day. What you’ll bring: 7+ years of overall software engineering experience. Experience coding in Java and Python. Experience working with web services or APIs (gRPC). Cloud development experience in Azure, AWS, or GCP. Experience with developing and managing CI/CD pipelines. Bonus Points for: Familiarity with big data processing frameworks (Apache Spark, Hadoop, Hive). Familiarity with real-time data streaming technologies (Apache Kafka, Kinesis). Understanding of data warehousing concepts and technologies (Redshift, Snowflake, BigQuery). Experience maintaining Bazel-based build infrastructure. Experience hardening and securing cloud infrastructure. Familiarity with Kubernetes. Familiarity with privacy enhancing technologies such as differential privacy, trusted execution environments, multi-party computation, and encryption.
