Director of Infrastructure Operations

We are looking for an experienced Director of Infrastructure Operations to join our fast-growing tech start-up. This is a crucial role, overseeing our entire infrastructure and DevOps function, helping to scale our platform, optimize performance and ensure availability. You will manage a team of engineers and be responsible for the design, implementation and ongoing optimization of our cloud infrastructure, tools and processes. This is a senior position, requiring substantial experience in a similar role, coupled with strong technical and people management skills. Key responsibilities: - Design, implement and optimize the cloud infrastructure and DevOps processes to support our rapidly scaling business - Manage a team of talented engineers, mentoring and developing them - Automate and streamline infrastructure provisioning, monitoring and incident response - Identify and implement solutions to improve platform performance, reliability and security - Work closely with the engineering and product teams to ensure infrastructure capabilities meet their needs - Report on infrastructure metrics and collaborate on roadmaps and investments - Represent the infrastructure function and act as a technical leader within the business Qualifications and experience: - 8+ years of experience leading infrastructure/DevOps teams in a fast-paced, cloud-native environment - Proven track record of designing, implementing and optimizing cloud-based infrastructure at scale - Deep technical expertise with public cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), containerization, CI/CD, monitoring and incident response - Excellent people management and communication skills - able to lead, mentor and collaborate effectively - Passionate about infrastructure and operations, with a strong drive to continuously improve - Experience working in a scaling tech start-up or equivalent environment is highly desirable - Computer Science degree or equivalent technical background
