Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Coimbatore for a Production Supervisor at a steel casting foundry. The Production Supervisor will oversee daily production activities, ensure execution of production schedules, and manage an efficient workflow. Responsibilities include monitoring the production process, implementing production plans, ensuring environmental and safety compliance, coordinating with team members, and identifying opportunities for process improvements and cost efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Supervise daily Moulding and Mould-closing operations in steel foundry production.
- Ensure proper Mould preparation, core setting, alignment, and box closing in line with production standards.
- Inspect Moulds to identify defects such as mismatches, cracks, loose cores, and leakage points.
- Monitor production schedules and work to minimize Mould rejection and rework rates.
- Enforce workplace safety practices, including proper PPEs usage and safe material handling.
- Maintain accurate daily reports covering production output, manpower attendance, rejections, and equipment breakdowns.
- Uphold housekeeping standards, ensuring adherence to 5 S principles and workplace discipline.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing productivity and reducing operational costs.
Key Responsibility:
Experience: Minimum 5 years
