Motion Systems Designer (After Effects) — Full-Time

About the role
Launch3d is a motion-first company building cinematic launch systems for Web3, AI, SaaS, and high-attention product launches. We're hiring a Motion Systems Designer to join early, as part of our growing India-based production pod.
This is a role for someone who wants After Effects to be their main craft — not a secondary task under generic video editing. The work combines polished client delivery, reusable motion IP, and AI-assisted workflows. You won't just make strong videos — you'll help build the production system that lets Launch3d create better motion, faster, over time.

What you'll focus on
- Create high-quality 10–15 second launch and product motion assets
- Animate UI, typography, product moments, launch claims, and social-ready sequences
- Create derivative assets — vertical edits, cutdowns, loops, stills, campaign variations
- Build clean After Effects files that another designer can open and reuse
- Turn repeated motion patterns into reusable Launch3d templates and components
- Use AI internally to speed up ideation, reference breakdowns, expressions, and documentation
How the week breaks down
- 70% — Client motion production (revenue-facing delivery)
- 20% — Building the Launch3d template/IP system (reusable components)
- 10% — AI-assisted workflow and documentation
What you'll build
Client-facing: 15-second hype videos and launch teasers, product reveal clips, UI motion shots, kinetic typography sequences, Web3/AI/SaaS social motion assets, partner/KOL packs, and retainer content formats.
Reusable Launch3d IP: After Effects templates and precomps, transition and type systems, camera movement presets, product reveal structures, UI animation rigs, CTA/end-card systems, and launch announcement formats you'll help design once and reuse across future clients.
What we're looking for
- Strong After Effects skills — motion graphics, not straight video editing
- Comfortable with a full-time, structured production environment (not a loose freelance setup)
- Able to communicate proactively — daily start/end-of-day updates, work-in-progress previews before final delivery, and early flags on blockers
- Clean, organized file habits — your AE files should be easy for another designer to pick up
- 1–3 years' experience, motion-focused
What success looks like
- 3–5 polished short motion assets per week (or one hero asset + derivatives)
- Files clean enough for another designer to continue from
- At least one new reusable component contributed regularly
- Communication before a problem arises, not after a deadline slips
Your first 30 days
Week 1 — Learn our standards, references, file structure, and motion language; complete test assets. Week 2 — Create client-style assets and start converting patterns into reusable AE components.
Week 3 — Work on real production tasks with full visibility and revision discipline.
Week 4 — Operate with more independence; show consistency, clean files, and template contribution.
Growth path
Motion Systems Designer → Senior Motion Graphics Designer → India Pod Lead (training and guiding other motion designers as we scale).
Compensation
INR 70,000–1,00,000/month, based on experience.
