We are looking for a short-form motion graphics video editor to help create high-retention TikTok and Instagram Reels content.
This role is for someone who can turn raw talking-head footage into engaging short-form videos using strong hooks, clean pacing, captions, motion graphics, screenshot callouts, proof inserts, sound design, and visual storytelling.
We are not looking for someone who only adds basic cuts and captions. We need an editor who can make educational/business content visually clear, engaging, and social-media-native.
Responsibilities
- Edit short-form videos for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and similar platforms.
- Create strong openings with hooks, text, punch-ins, visual resets, and pattern interrupts.
- Add captions, animated text, motion graphics, arrows, labels, screenshots, examples, and CTA cards.
- Turn talking-head content into clear, engaging visual explanations.
- Repurpose raw or long-form footage into multiple short-form clips.
- Improve pacing, structure, retention, and overall viewer engagement.
- Use music, sound effects, zooms, transitions, and graphics where needed.
- Export videos in the correct format for social platforms.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of short-form video editing experience.
- Strong experience editing TikTok, Reels, Shorts, or similar content.
- Ability to edit talking-head educational content, not just basic clips.
- Strong skills in captions, motion graphics, pacing, hooks, sound design, and mobile-first layout.
- Experience with Premiere Pro, After Effects, CapCut, Final Cut, or similar tools.
- Must have your own computer, editing software, and reliable internet.
- Experience with business, finance, coaching, consulting, or personal-brand content is preferred.
Portfolio Requirement

- Talking-head editing

- Strong hooks
- Screenshot/proof inserts
- Fast but clear pacing
