About the Role
We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Motion Designer & UI/UX Animator to bring our digital experiences to life. In this role, you will blend animation, storytelling, and user experience design to create engaging, intuitive, and emotionally resonant product interactions. You will work closely with product, design, tech, and psychology teams to design meaningful user experiences for Healo, our AI-powered mental health platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and produce high-quality 2D animations for web and mobile applications
- Create UI motion graphics, micro-interactions, and transitions that enhance user experience
- Collaborate with product, UX/UI designers, and developers to translate ideas into engaging visuals
- Develop storyboards, visual scripts, and motion concepts aligned with product goals
- Design wireframes, user flows, and high-fidelity UI screens when required
- Ensure animations are optimized for performance across devices and platforms
- Maintain visual consistency, branding, and design systems across all assets
- Apply UX principles, accessibility, and visual hierarchy in design work
- Contribute to user testing, feedback, and iterative improvements
- Stay updated with the latest trends in motion design, UI/UX, and interaction design
Requirements
- 1–2+ years of experience in animation, motion design, or related field
- Basic to intermediate experience in UI/UX design (6 months to 1+ year preferred)
- Proficiency in Adobe After Effects, Adobe Animate, and Figma (Mandatory)
- Working knowledge of Blender, Maya, or similar tools is a plus
- Strong understanding of motion, timing, storytelling, and UX principles
- Ability to create character animations and UI motion graphics/micro-interactions
- Knowledge of exporting animations for web and mobile platforms (e.g., Lottie)
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Detail-oriented with a passion for creating impactful visual experiences
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in health-tech, wellness, or mental health products
- Familiarity with Lottie, Spine, or front-end animation integration
- Understanding of UX motion principles and interaction design
- Knowledge of VFX, mixed media, or 3D animation pipelines
- Experience working with design systems and component libraries
Tools
- Figma (Mandatory)
- Adobe After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop
- Adobe XD, Canva or other design tools
- Blender, Maya or similar animation tools (plus)
Work Schedule
- part-time, remote role
- 4 hours daily availability, preferably during morning hours
- Immediate joiners preferred
