Job details:
VADIVAM® is a strategic brand identity studio. We design brand identities for established enterprises — founder-led, multi-generational and listed businesses.

ABOUT VADIVAM®
VADIVAM® began in 2013 as a freelance creative practice and was incorporated in 2018. Over 13 years, we've delivered 200+ brand projects, built a strong network of creative collaborators and partners, and worked across a wide range of creative disciplines.
We are now entering a deliberate new phase: repositioning VADIVAM® as a premium brand identity design agency for established enterprises, founder-led and multi-generational businesses — moving away from being seen as a general branding, logo or digital creative agency.
THE TEAM AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT
This phase is being built with a focused, lean team that will grow with the studio. You would work alongside identity designers, an editor and our marketing team, in-office.
• Role type: Full-time, in-office
• Working hours: 9:30 AM – 6:30 PM
• Saturdays: alternate Saturdays off; the monthly office calendar is shared in advance
• Detailed policies are shared at the final stage of joining
As we build through this phase, we're structuring resources carefully to create an efficient, sustainable team. The environment is focused and collaborative, with real ownership and a direct hand in shaping how the studio evolves.
ROLE AT A GLANCE
• Role: Motion Brand Identity Designer
• Experience: 2–4 years in motion design, with brand or motion identity work
• Location: Chennai — studio-based, full-time
• Salary: ₹25,000 – ₹35,000/month fixed
Final compensation is confirmed after the task assessment.
• Joining bonus: 50% of your agreed monthly salary, paid with your first month's salary
WHAT YOU'LL DO
• Motion identity systems — build motion guidelines, including logo intros and outros, kinetic typography and signature transition rules, so each brand moves consistently across every platform
• Motion audits — analyse how competitors and industry peers animate their brands, using move boards and motion audits to find strategic gaps
• Storyboarding and concept development — translate static brand guidelines and creative briefs into sketches, 4–6 frame storyboards and visual rhythm timelines
• Animation and execution — animate logos, UI elements, social media content, title cards and launch presentations
• Sound and rhythm — work with sound designers so music and sound effects align with the motion
• Collaboration — work with the founder and identity designers to apply motion principles across websites, presentations and campaigns
• Delivery — export optimised motion assets, project templates and usage documentation for clients and partner agencies
APPLY ONLY IF YOU HAVE ALL OF THESE
• 2–4 years of hands-on motion design, including logo animation or motion identity work
• A showreel that shows motion derived from brand identity — not just effects or transitions
• A strong sense of timing, easing, rhythm and restraint
• Fluency in Adobe After Effects and Illustrator; Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve for editing
• The ability to explain your motion decisions clearly in writing
GOOD TO HAVE
• Cinema 4D or Blender
• Lottie or web animation experience
• Experience working with sound design
THIS ROLE IS NOT FOR YOU IF
• Your reel is mainly social media reels, templated animations or trend-led effects
• Your experience is mainly in video editing rather than motion design
• You're looking for remote or freelance work
WHAT WE OFFER
• Fixed monthly salary
• Joining bonus of 50% of your agreed monthly salary, paid with your first month's salary
• A structured review at 3 months, probation confirmation at 6 months and a retention bonus at 12 months
• Premium motion identity work for established enterprises
• Direct mentorship in brand strategy and creative direction
FOR CANDIDATES IN OUR SELECTION PROCESS
• An honorarium for assessment tasks, paid on completion of the selection round
• An interview incentive for candidates shortlisted for the final round
