</div><div>The ideal candidate will bring hands-on knowledge of textiles through experience in sewing, design, or costume work. A background in fashion design is a definitive plus, though not required. Overall candidates should have a strong demonstrated background in customer service and a eagerness to learn from coworkers on the job.<br><br>
</div><div>The role also requires to lift and move fabric bolts weighing 10 lbs or more.<br><br>
</div><div>
<strong>Commission Opportunity:</strong> Associates who meet and surpass monthly quotas earn commission from their sales.<br><br>

<strong>Primary Responsibilities<br></strong><br>
</div><ul>
<li>Accurately assess customer fabric needs and guide them toward the best solutions for their project.<br><br>
</li>
<li>Stay current on fabric trends, new arrivals and product knowledge.<br><br>
</li>
<li>Collaborate with sales associates, office staff and teams at other Mood Fabrics locations to fulfill customer needs.<br><br>
</li>
<li>Strive to meet and exceed monthly sales goals to earn commission.<br><br>
</li>
<li>Assist the team in correctly shelving fabric organized by fiber and weave.<br><br>
</li>
<li>Maintain clean and orderly displays of fabric as housed in walls throughout the store.<br><br>
</li>
<li>Respond to customer inquiries over the phone and via email to process orders, engaging with customers in a dynamic, fast-paced retail environment.<br><br>
</li>
<li>Cultivate long-term relationships with customers seeking a reliable, knowledgeable textile partner.<br><br>
</li>

<strong>Requirements<br></strong><br>
</div><ul>
<li>Hands-on experience with fabric, sewing, or textiles.<br><br>
</li>
<li>Some retail sales experience preferred.<br><br>
</li>
<li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.<br><br>
</li>
<li>Proven track record in customer-facing roles.<br><br>
</li>
<li>Positive attitude and collaborative, team-oriented mindset.<br><br>
</li>
<li>Proficiency in English; bilingual in Spanish and/or other languages a plus.<br><br>
