This Position is ONLY Open to Montgomery County Government Employees:

  1. Current Montgomery County Government employees;
  2. Montgomery County employees who were affected by reduction-in-force and currently have RIF priority rights;
  3. Active Montgomery County local fire and rescue department volunteers with at least 50 points under the length of service award program (LOSAP); or
  4. Active Project SEARCH Interns or former Montgomery County Government Customized Employment Public Interns, or Project SEARCH Interns within 24 months of completion of internship.


Please note: The salary range above represents this position’s earning potential. The anticipated hiring range for this position will be $57,596 to $84,851, based on the candidate’s qualifications and experience.

Position Duties

The Office Services Coordinator provides essential administrative, fiscal, and operational support to the Latino Health Initiative (LHI), ensuring smooth day-to-day operations across programs and serving as a key resource for staff, clients, and partners. The position performs a wide range of administrative, fiscal, logistical, and program support activities in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.


Duties of this position will include, but are not limited to:


  • Coordinating daily administrative workflow for LHI programs, including general office support and customer service.
  • Processing or coordinating a wide variety of administrative and fiscal transactions. 
  • Arranging facility, IT, and telecommunications support as needed. 
  • Answering phones, greeting visitors, and providing responsive support to internal and external customers. 
  • Supporting meetings, special events, and program activities through scheduling, preparation, logistics, and follow-up.
  • Reviewing, tracking, and reporting expenditures and program statistics. 
  • Reviewing police reports for quality assurance, checking client eligibility, and assisting with financial assistance and fee collection tasks.
  • Using technical systems and software to support fiscal, administrative, and operational functions.


Work Schedule:  This position may require occasional evening and weekend hours based on program needs. 

Telework:  This position may be eligible for limited hybrid telework, up to two days per week, after the initial training period.

Minimum Qualifications

Experience: Four (4) years of progressively responsible office support experience.


Education: Graduation from high school or High School Certificate of Completion recognized in the State of Maryland.


Equivalency: An equivalent combination of education and work experience may be substituted. 


Other Qualifications

The applications of those individuals meeting the minimum qualifications will be reviewed to determine the extent, relevancy of training, and experience in the following areas:


  • Experience processing administrative and fiscal transactions.
  • Experience working with diverse populations, including Limited English Proficiency (LEP) clients.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office and other technical applications to support administrative or fiscal operations.
  • Experience reviewing or tracking expenditures, program data, or other administrative records.
  • Experience coordinating meetings, events, or program activities.
  • Experience providing bilingual customer service in Spanish, Amharic, or French.
