About the role
MongoDB is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join our Platform team. In this role, you will contribute to the design, implementation, and maintenance of the MongoDB Platform - the foundation of the MongoDB product and services stack.
You will work closely with other Platform engineers, product managers, and stakeholders across the company to ensure the Platform meets the needs of MongoDB's diverse customer base and internal teams. You will leverage your strong technical skills and software engineering experience to build highly scalable, reliable, and secure components and services that power MongoDB's products and services.
Core Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain critical infrastructure components and services that power the MongoDB Platform
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into robust, scalable solutions
- Write clean, well-documented, and testable code
- Participate in the software development lifecycle, including architecture, design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance
- Identify and resolve performance, reliability, and security issues
- Mentor and guide more junior engineers
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in the industry
