About the role

Monarch is looking for a Research Scientist to work on computational chemistry applications. You will be responsible for developing and applying computational chemistry models and algorithms to accelerate the discovery of new crop protection chemistries and agrochemicals. This role will involve close collaboration with our organic chemistry and biology teams to design, predict, and evaluate new chemical matter. Responsibilities include: 1) Developing and applying computational chemistry techniques such as quantum chemistry, molecular mechanics, and machine learning to discover and optimize new agrochemical candidates, 2) Designing computational experiments to explore structure-activity relationships and guide chemical synthesis, 3) Validating computational models and predictions through experimental collaboration, 4) Communicating research progress and findings to cross-functional teams, and 5) Staying up-to-date on the latest computational chemistry methods and their application to agrochemical discovery.
