Role Description
The Modern Trade Manager – Food Grains (Rice) will oversee and develop the company’s distribution in the modern trade sector, with a focus on building relationships with key accounts, managing sales targets, and developing strategies to penetrate new markets.
Key Responsibilities
· Develop and execute modern trade sales strategies for rice products
· Manage relationships with key retail chains (e.g., supermarkets, hypermarkets, and online grocery platforms)
· Negotiate annual business plans, pricing, promotions, and trade margins
· Ensure product listing, visibility, and shelf placement across stores
· Drive volume growth and achieve sales targets in modern trade channels
· Plan and execute promotional activities, in-store activations, and campaigns
· Monitor competitor activities, pricing, and market trends
Key Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred).
· 5– 6 years of experience in modern trade / key account management, preferably in FMCG or food grains.
· Strong network with modern retail chains.
