Position Overview
BNP Paribas is seeking a Mobile Automation Tester to join its Personal Investors IT team in Chennai, the role will be responsible for automating and maintaining all business line projects related artefacts and regression tests for mobile-based applications using testing tools such as Appium, APIs, Cucumber, and Gherkin.
Job Responsibilities
- Performing test automation
- Developing, executing and maintaining automation test scripts according to the enterprise Automation Framework standard
- Providing technical assistance to other Automation Engineers
- Determining automation feasibility for functional test sets
- Providing test automation status and execution results to the Test Lead and other project team members
- Working on manual test execution, creating and maintaining test sets, and contributing to the development and adaptation of processes
- Collaborating with team members, analyzing problems, and developing solutions
- Working closely with the QA team, developers, and other project team members in an agile environment
Required Education, Skills and Experience
- A Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science or a related field
- At least 7 years of IT software QA/testing experience
- Minimum 7 years of experience in test automation using Appium and APIs
- Hands-on experience with Java
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Minimum 7 years of experience in BFSI domain
- Experience in Personal finance/Lending would be an added advantage
- Experience with CI/CD, GitLab, and Nexus
Preferred Education, Skills and Experience
- Familiarity with CSS, HTML, Node.js, and Angular
- Knowledge of JIRA-XRay
- Ability to collaborate and work in a team
- Ability to develop and adapt processes
- Strong analytical ability
- Experience with other testing tools and technologies would be beneficial
