Mobile QA Tester - AI Companion App for Smartglasses

We're building an AI companion app that pairs with smartglasses, delivering voice-first, hands-free interactions to users. We're looking for a detail-oriented QA Tester to ensure our app performs flawlessly across Android and iOS and integrates seamlessly with our hardware.
This is a contract role based out of Pune. Ideal for someone with 2-4 years of mobile QA experience who wants to work at the intersection of AI and next-gen wearable tech.
What You'll Do
- Design, execute, and maintain test cases for Android and iOS versions of the companion app
- Test end-to-end pairing, connectivity, and sync between app and smartglasses hardware
- Validate voice interaction flows, AI response accuracy, and conversational edge cases
- Perform regression, exploratory, and compatibility testing across devices and OS versions
- Log, triage, and track bugs with clear reproduction steps and severity ratings
- Monitor crash reports, logs, and performance metrics - battery, latency, thermal behavior
- Manage beta testing cycles via TestFlight and Play Console
- Collaborate with developers, product, and firmware engineers to resolve issues fast
What We're Looking For
- 2-4 years of hands-on mobile QA experience across Android and iOS
- Experience testing apps connected to external hardware or wearables via Bluetooth/BLE
- Familiarity with Jira, TestRail, or similar bug tracking and test management tools
- Working knowledge of Postman for API testing
- Comfort with Crashlytics, adb, and Xcode logs for crash and log analysis
- Strong written communication and meticulous bug documentation habits
Nice to Have
- Prior experience testing AR/VR, wearable, or IoT-connected products
- Exposure to AI or LLM-based products and their unique testing challenges
- Basic automation experience with Appium, Espresso, or XCUITest
