Role Description As a Mobile Engineer at SandHut, you will design, build, and maintain high-quality mobile applications that integrate seamlessly with our hardware and backend systems. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru. You will collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to translate requirements into performant, secure, and maintainable mobile solutions. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include implementing new features, refactoring and optimizing existing code, fixing bugs, writing unit and integration tests, and contributing to code reviews. You will also be involved in performance tuning, monitoring application health, documenting technical decisions, and helping improve engineering processes and best practices across the mobile stack.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Mobile Application Development and experience delivering production-ready Mobile Applications.
- Hands-on experience with iOS Development, including familiarity with the iOS ecosystem, frameworks, and app store deployment.
- Solid foundation in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and Software Development principles, patterns, and best practices.
- Proficiency in at least one modern mobile tech stack (e.g., Swift/SwiftUI, Kotlin, React Native, or Flutter) and common development tools.
- Experience integrating mobile apps with RESTful APIs, handling offline data, and working with version control systems such as Git.
- Ability to debug complex issues, write clean and testable code, and participate in peer code reviews.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, clear communication, and a collaborative approach to working in cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience; prior experience with hardware-software integration is a plus.
