About the role
Join us to build the Member & Field mobile apps for a HIPAA-ready health platform on AWS/Azure. You’ll ship offline-first experiences, secure uploads, GPS check-ins, and push notifications integrated with a FastAPI backend.
Responsibilities
- Build SPA features with React 18 + TypeScript, TanStack Query (server-state), and a component system (Chakra UI or similar).
- Implement Cognito authentication (OIDC, PKCE), role-based UI (RBAC), and feature flags (AWS AppConfig or LaunchDarkly).
- Create reliable forms, data grids, and virtualized lists for large datasets; optimistic updates and error recovery patterns.
- Integrate with REST/WS endpoints via API Gateway/ALB; handle pagination, caching, and WebSocket events when needed.
- Security & compliance: a11y (WCAG 2.1 AA), sanitized rendering, no PHI in client logs; coordinate WAF rules with DevOps.
- Performance: Core Web Vitals (LCP/CLS/INP) budgets, code-splitting, bundle analysis, and CloudFront caching strategies.
- Testing & quality: unit (Jest/RTL), E2E (Playwright), contract tests against OpenAPI; instrument RUM & error tracking.
Minimum qualifications
- 3–5 years building production SPAs in React + TypeScript.
- Strong API integration patterns, OAuth2/OIDC (Cognito preferred), and state/data-fetching best practices.
- Testing experience (Jest/RTL, Playwright) and CI familiarity.
- Performance tuning and accessibility skills.
Nice to have
- Module Federation / micro-frontends; PDF viewers and document workflows.
- Healthcare-regulated UX; localization; data visualization dashboards.
- Experience hosting SPAs on S3 + CloudFront with WAF and CI/CD (CodePipeline or GitHub Actions).
