The ideal candidate should be comfortable working independently, solving problems end-to-end, and collaborating closely with product, design, backend, QA, and other engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain native iOS and Android applications.
- Build high-quality mobile experiences using Swift for iOS and Kotlin for Android.
- Take strong end-to-end ownership of features—from requirement clarification and technical design to implementation, release, and post-release improvements.
- Own and develop critical user journeys, including checkout and payment flows, cart, order placement, authentication, account management, and other core product experiences.
- Translate product requirements and designs into scalable, maintainable, and user-friendly mobile applications.
- Work closely with Product, Design, Backend, QA, and other engineering teams to deliver features on schedule.
- Identify technical challenges proactively and propose practical solutions.
- Write clean, maintainable, reusable, and well-tested code.
- Debug production issues and provide timely fixes while minimizing regression risks.
- Improve application performance, stability, responsiveness, and overall user experience.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering standards and best practices.
- Write unit tests and, where appropriate, UI/integration tests.
- Monitor application health after releases and use logs, analytics, crash reports, and other signals to identify improvements.
- Contribute to technical documentation and architectural decisions.
- Stay current with developments in the iOS and Android ecosystems and introduce relevant improvements where appropriate.
Required Skills & Experience
- 6+ years of professional mobile application development experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with iOS development using Swift.
- Strong hands-on experience with Android development using Kotlin.
- Proven experience developing and releasing applications to production on both iOS and Android.
- Good understanding of native mobile application architecture and development practices.
- Experience with REST APIs, JSON, networking, authentication, and backend integrations.
- Experience working with Git and modern software development workflows.
- Strong understanding of mobile UI development and responsive user experiences.
- Experience with application debugging, profiling, crash analysis, and performance optimization.
- Good understanding of mobile security, data persistence, lifecycle management, and platform-specific constraints.
- Experience writing maintainable code with appropriate unit and integration testing.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of deliverables.
