Job Role: Mobile Automation Engineer (Python / Appium)

TekPillar is seeking an experienced Mobile Automation Engineer with strong expertise in Python-based test automation and mobile application testing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining scalable automation frameworks, improving test coverage, and ensuring the quality and stability of mobile applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for mobile applications using Python.
- Build and enhance mobile test automation frameworks using Appium.
- Implement BDD-based testing using Pytest, including fixtures, hooks, and parameterization.
- Integrate automation reporting tools such as Allure Report for test execution insights and reporting.
- Configure and manage parallel test execution and multi-device testing environments.
- Work with Robot Framework when required to extend automation capabilities.
- Participate in automation framework design and continuously improve scalability and maintainability.
- Apply Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles to develop structured and reusable automation code.
- Conduct automation code reviews and follow best practices for quality and maintainability.
- Collaborate closely with development, QA, and DevOps teams to support continuous integration and release validation.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in test automation and automation framework development.
- Strong programming experience in Python.
- Hands-on experience in mobile automation testing using Appium.
- Good understanding of BDD concepts and Pytest framework.
- Experience designing and maintaining scalable automation frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming concepts and design patterns.
- Experience with automation reporting tools and parallel test execution.
