Mobile App Developer (Internship) – Real-Time Ideas Application

About the Role
Upedd is a consulting firm looking for a passionate and motivated Mobile Application Developer to join us on a part-time internship basis. We are building an innovative real-time ideas application – a dynamic platform where users can share, collaborate, and develop ideas in real time.
This is a great opportunity for a student or fresher who wants to gain hands-on experience in building a full-fledged mobile application from scratch, working with modern technologies, and contributing to a real-world product.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop a cross-platform or native mobile application (Android and/or iOS) for a real-time ideas sharing and collaboration platform.
- Implement real-time features such as live updates, chat/messaging, collaborative editing, notifications, etc.
- Build user-friendly interfaces with smooth navigation and engaging UX/UI.
- Integrate backend services, APIs, databases, and authentication systems.
- Ensure the app is responsive, secure, scalable, and optimized for performance.
- Test, debug, and troubleshoot issues throughout the development cycle.
- Work closely with the team to understand requirements and iterate based on feedback.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (Students are strongly encouraged to apply).
- Strong experience in mobile app development (Flutter, React Native, Kotlin, Swift, or Dart preferred).
- Good understanding of real-time technologies (Firebase, Socket.io, WebSockets, etc.).
- Knowledge of backend integration (REST APIs, databases like Firebase Firestore, MongoDB, or PostgreSQL).
- Familiarity with version control (Git), agile development practices, and basic UI/UX principles.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a small team.
- Good communication skills and willingness to learn.
