Mobile App Developer (React Native)
Remote | Full-Time | Senior Level | EST Timezone
We are looking for an experienced Mobile App Developer with deep expertise in React Native and strong knowledge of native mobile development across iOS and Android. This role is ideal for someone who can take ownership of a production-grade mobile application in a fast-moving, AI-forward environment with minimal handholding.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience building and maintaining scalable mobile applications, understands native module development, and is comfortable working in high-pressure environments where reliability and customer impact matter.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and maintain a production React Native mobile application
- Develop and support native modules using Swift (iOS) and Kotlin (Android)
- Collaborate closely with engineering leadership and cross-functional teams
- Build, enhance, and optimise mobile features for both iOS and Android from a shared codebase
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues with strong attention to detail
- Contribute to architecture decisions and long-term scalability of the mobile platform
- Support future expansion into broader React/web application development as needed
- Leverage AI-assisted development tools and modern engineering workflows to improve efficiency and delivery
Required Skills & Experience
- 10+ years of mobile application development experience
- Strong experience with React Native in production environments
- Solid native mobile development experience with:
- Swift for iOS
- Kotlin for Android
- Experience developing and integrating native modules within React Native applications
- Strong understanding of mobile application architecture, performance, and scalability
- Ability to independently navigate and contribute to an existing production codebase
- Experience working in fast-paced, high-accountability environments
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a remote setup
- Strong ownership mindset with the ability to solve problems independently
- Experience with React/web applications
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude, AI agents, or similar platforms
- Experience working in customer-critical or operationally sensitive software environments
- Exposure to modern AI-driven engineering workflows and agentic development practices
