About The Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join our dynamic team on a contractual basis for an initial period of six months, with the possibility of extension. This remote role offers an excellent opportunity to work on complex machine learning applications, develop scalable pipelines, and contribute to innovative projects that impact our global client base. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Python, data engineering, and ML workflows, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality, production-ready solutions. Collaboration across teams and effective communication skills are essential to ensure seamless integration of ML models into broader systems.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 8 years of professional experience in machine learning and data engineering roles. Proficiency in Python is essential, with deep knowledge of libraries such as Pandas, Numpy, Matplotlib, Scikit-learn, and Pydantic. Strong SQL skills and hands-on experience with Snowflake and Snowpark are required. Familiarity with GitHub engineering practices, including pull requests, branching strategies, and automation via Actions, is necessary. Experience with testing frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and automated checks is vital for maintaining high standards of code quality. Candidates should also have expertise in designing config-driven, scalable architectures with reusable components, as well as excellent documentation skills. Knowledge of cross-team collaboration processes will be an added advantage.
Optional but preferred qualifications include experience with Dataiku DSS platform for automation and industrialization, MLflow or other MLOps tools, and optimization methodologies such as cvxpy or Gurobi. Familiarity with containerization using Docker, as well as experience with PyTorch and LightGBM, will be considered advantageous.

The Senior ML Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying machine learning models and pipelines that address complex business challenges. Key responsibilities include collaborating with data scientists and product teams to understand requirements, translating them into scalable ML solutions, and ensuring models are robust, efficient, and maintainable. The role involves building and maintaining data workflows, integrating models into production environments, and establishing best practices for model validation, monitoring, and retraining.
You will lead efforts to develop reusable, config-driven architecture components, ensuring that solutions are scalable and adaptable across different projects. The engineer will also be tasked with implementing testing strategies, CI/CD pipelines, and automation processes to streamline deployment workflows. Strong documentation of processes and code is essential for cross-team knowledge sharing. Additionally, the role requires active participation in code reviews, mentoring junior team members, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
