Description
Xactra Technologies is seeking a motivated Inside Sales / Sales Engineer to join our team. This is a full-time position with base pay plus performance-based incentives.
This role supports our customers and helps drive new business in the precision machining industry, including aerospace and defense work. You will work closely with engineering, quality, operations, and purchasing to quote jobs, manage customer needs, and keep projects moving.
This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced environment. The right candidate is organized, responsive, and willing to step in where needed to support the team.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to customer inquiries, RFQ's, and emails.
- Review drawings and specifications to support quoting.
- Estimate labor, setup, and material costs.
- Coordinate customer requirements with internal teams (quality, delivery, cost).
- Maintain and track quotes, pricing, and customer activity.
Use JobBoss to:

- Create quotes and jobs
- Review past job data for pricing
- Track order status and delevery
Support purchasing:

- Order raw material and create purchase orders
- Work with vendors on pricing and lead time
Assist with operations as needed:

- Help coordinate shipping and deliveries
- Support inventory tracking and organization
Qualifications:
- Technical background or equivalent experience preferred
- Experience in manufacturing, quoting, or sales is a plus
- Ability to read prints and understand machining processes
- Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g. HubSpot) is a plus
- Exposure to AS9100 or similar quality systems is a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple tasks
