Role Description
This is a full-time remote role for a Mizo Transcription Project Specialist. The primary responsibilities include transcribing Mizo audio data into accurate written text, ensuring language and cultural accuracy. The role involves maintaining quality standards, formatting text as required, and meeting project deadlines. Collaborating with the team and providing feedback for continuous improvement are also essential aspects of the position.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in the Mizo language, including excellent grammar, vocabulary, and fluency
- Strong transcription skills with attention to detail, accuracy, and time management
- Computer literacy, including experience with transcription software, word processors, and basic digital tools
- Ability to work independently and remotely with minimal supervision
- Familiarity with linguistic, cultural intricacies, and nuances of the Mizo language
- Prior transcription experience, especially in Mizo, is advantageous
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional language certifications are a plus
- A quiet workspace, a reliable computer, and a stable internet connection
