About the role

At MITRE, we believe in the power of meaningful work and a fulfilling life. As a Cybersecurity Intern, you will be part of a paid opportunity that combines exposure to professionals in the cybersecurity field with technical skill building and hands-on experience. This 10-week internship, running from early June to mid-August 2025, will provide you with an introduction to cybersecurity through the Prelude Operator tool, which supports training in Intelligence-grade security products. During your internship, you will collaborate with MITRE engineers to design, develop, and implement innovative solutions and technologies that address significant cybersecurity challenges faced by our government sponsors. You will gain exposure to world-class expertise and leadership, learning to apply security engineering principles and innovative concepts to tackle various aspects of our sponsors' cyber challenges. Your work will span three key strategic areas: threat-based engineering, design recovery and reverse engineering, and the development of novel cyber capabilities. This internship is not just about learning; it's about making a tangible impact in the field of cybersecurity and contributing to the mission of protecting our nation.
