CHECK-IN RECEPTIONIST / OFFICE COORDINATOR – NEW ALBANY CLINIC
Mississippi Sports Medicine and Orthopedic Center is seeking a dependable and service-focused Check-In Receptionist / Office Coordinator to support daily operations in our New Albany clinic. This role combines patient check-in responsibilities with front office coordination duties, helping ensure an efficient, organized, and welcoming experience for both patients and staff.
This position serves as the first point of contact for patients and plays a key role in maintaining workflow, supporting team members, and keeping the clinic running smoothly.

This role includes patient check-in, scheduling, and front office coordination responsibilities. The individual in this position will help guide daily workflow, support front desk staff, and ensure a high standard of customer service is consistently delivered.
EXPERIENCE / EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
Graduate of a four-year high school
Experience:
Three (3) years of experience in a medical office or related setting preferred
Prior experience in a lead or coordination role preferred but not required
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Check in and schedule patients for physicians in a timely and accurate manner
Serve as the first point of contact and provide a welcoming, professional patient experience
Demonstrate empathy and active listening during all patient interactions
Support front office workflow by helping prioritize tasks and maintain efficiency throughout the day
Assist with training and onboarding of new front desk team members
Serve as a point of contact for front office questions and help resolve routine issues
Communicate effectively with clinical staff, providers, and leadership to ensure smooth operations
Ensure HIPAA guidelines are clearly understood and followed at all times
Provide timely responses to patient and supervisor requests
Maintain accurate data entry and patient information in the system
Demonstrate strong multitasking skills and ability to work under pressure
Utilize computer systems efficiently with strong attention to detail
SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to arrive to work no later than 6:50 AM to begin clinic at 7:00 AM
Must be able to remain at work until 5:00 PM when necessary; clinic typically ends at 4:30 PM
