Maintenance Technician – Industrial (Hospital Setting)  Safety Sensitive Position  Monday -Friday plus Call  Full-Time


We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our hospital’s facilities team. This vital role ensures the continuous operation and safety of our medical and operational equipment, contributing to a secure and efficient healthcare environment. Key Responsibilities:

- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on hospital equipment, HVAC systems, electrical systems, plumbing, and other mechanical systems.

- Troubleshoot and repair industrial machinery and building systems to minimize downtime.

- Conduct inspections to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions promptly.

- Maintain detailed maintenance records and documentation for compliance and reporting purposes.

- Collaborate with hospital staff and external vendors to coordinate repairs and upgrades.

- Follow safety protocols and ensure all maintenance activities adhere to health and safety regulations.

- Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment and systems.

Requirements

Basic knowledge of building systems and equipment, HVAC, electrical or plumbing systems, as required through vocational or technical high school courses. Ability to operate or use the following tools/equipment : standard hand tools, meter, electrically powered tools and refrigerant equipment. Preferred High school diploma or GED equivalent

 

Skills and Qualifications:

- Proven experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in a healthcare or hospital environment.

- Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.

- Ability to troubleshoot complex equipment issues efficiently.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.

- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

- Relevant certifications such as HVAC, electrical, or mechanical licenses are preferred.

- Physical ability to perform maintenance tasks, including lifting, climbing, and working in confined spaces.
