About the role

This role is a critical intersection of cloud financial strategy, customer success, and operational support. The individual is responsible for managing AWS discount and resale programs (e.g., EDP, PPA, RIO), guiding both customers and internal teams through complex cloud billing structures, and ensuring accurate financial configurations within platforms like Vega. This person plays a central role in pre-sales support, margin tracking, billing escalations, and acts as a key subject matter expert for FinOps across the organization. They help customers maximize value from RIO and PPA programs while ensuring internal alignment and operational excellence. This position is 100% remote. Responsibilities Meet regularly with customers and Mission team members to answer questions around RIO and EDP. Respond to RIO and EDP/ PPA related tickets submitted by customers and Mission team members Assist with access for current customers to private rate cards for AWS services; build proposals for private rate cards for potential customers Track the margin of IDP, EDP, PPA and RIO proactively and engage with stakeholders (TAM and CSM) Support approval process for IDP, EDP, PPA and RIO deals Flag and escalate Complex FinOps issues including jumping on customer calls and educating the TAM team Coordinate Communication with Third Party Financial Operations Vendors (such as Parquantix) Assist with building billing configs in Vega Responsible for supporting Mission Cloud's and customer's AWS resale accounts, including account creation, modification, onboarding, and offboarding Participate in pre-sales calls to answer questions on discount programs and AWS cost services Perform RIO analysis and educate customers and internal team members on how the service works Onboard customers into Mission Cloud's AWS resale discount programs (e.g. EDPs, PPAs, RIO, etc.) Support sales opportunities through the creation of EDP calculators and adherence to deal desk process and approvals Provide escalation support to Billing for customer questions; give insight into specific line items that appear on Mission invoices Work with internal Mission teams to provide an excellent customer experience Stay educated on cloud infrastructure and operations trends and best practices; including the AWS Well-Architected framework Requirements Experience working with AWS Cloud environments Experience working with AWS discount programs (e.g. EDPs, PPAs) Ability to analyze and execute an AWS RI arbitrage strategy Ability to work in a financial or business analysis role, preferably related to AWS financial operations and/or usage best practices Ability to work with customer problem resolution and documentation of outcomes. Ability to work with AWS tools and service management tools Ability to understand complex situations and provide concise written or verbal summaries Ability to work with Sales, Customer Success, or customer-facing departments AWS Associate certification (required within first 90 days of employment with Mission Cloud)
