Mobile App Developer (Android – Kotlin & BLE Integration)

We are seeking a skilled Android Mobile App Developer with expertise in Kotlin and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) stack to support and enhance our existing mobile application for an e-scooter activation and locking system. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in BLE integration for IoT-based solutions and hands-on experience with secure communication protocols between mobile apps and devices. Key Responsibilities: Analyze the current mobile application architecture and implement improvements for BLE connectivity. Develop and integrate new features for e-scooter activation, deactivation, and locking mechanisms via BLE. Optimize BLE scanning, pairing, and connection stability. Ensure secure data transmission and manage device communication protocols. Collaborate with backend teams and hardware engineers for seamless integration. Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure high app performance and reliability. Required Skills & Qualifications: Proven experience in Android app development using Kotlin. Strong knowledge of Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) protocols and stack. Experience with IoT devices and mobile app communication. Familiarity with GATT profiles, BLE pairing, and security protocols. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently. Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git). Preferred Qualifications: Experience in e-mobility or connected vehicle applications. Familiarity with MQTT, WebSocket, or RESTful APIs. Knowledge of device firmware and OTA updates via BLE.
