About the role

As a part of the Consulting team, you will be asked to demonstrate skills in critical thinking (with an emphasis on quantitative prowess), display poise under pressure, and have the ability to manage multiple projects. You will need strong data skills and an understanding of primary research methodologies, or experience cleaning larger data sets. In day-to-day workflow, you will be paired with and learn from seasoned Consultants on the team. You will have the opportunity to play a key role in supporting client engagements, conducting in-depth research, and contributing to the development of actionable recommendations. The ideal candidate will have strong internship or professional experience within custom primary research and be excited at the prospect of growing their career as a Consultant. What You Will Be Doing: Data Synthesis: Rapidly organizing information, identifying patterns, drawing conclusions, and succinctly communicating key points in our data to senior consultants on our team, and eventually clients Data Visualization: Translating knowledge visually in larger data files and presentations using custom quantitative and qualitative datasets Multi-Tasking: Managing a variety of unique custom projects simultaneously, thus practicing efficient time management skills. Collaborating: Working collaboratively across several different Mintel divisions such as sales, marketing, research analytics, and operations to deliver best-in-class custom work to our clients. Engaging with Clients: You will have the opportunity to sit in on client calls, understand client objectives and as your career grows, act as a key point for clients. Conducting Market Research: Assisting in designing research methodologies tailored to meet client needs and project objectives. Supporting research projects across multiple industries from kick-off to completion, including: survey programming, fielding, data cleaning, and charting. Staying updated on industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor landscapes.
