About the Role
This position is in the paint department moving load bars, hanging parts on load bars, applying powder, and training in the paint system.
Responsibilities
· Apply powder to parts per instructions
· Accurately scan in parts as you load on the paint bars
· Close out jobs accurately when they are completed
· Move completed load bars to the paint system
· Prep metal elevator parts before powder coating
· Demonstrate respect and regard for customers and coworkers to ensure a professional, responsive and courteous environment at Minnesota Elevator, Inc.
· Participate as a team member by performing additional assignments to meet organizational goals as noted and observed by supervisors and coworkers.
· Actively participate in the MEI I-power Program by attending weekly meetings and submitting ideas to innovate and optimize MEI products and services.
· Participate in self-development activities to enhance job performance either through formal means (classes, workshops, seminars, in services, etc.) or less structured means (reading, networking, etc.)
· Follow company guidelines regarding punctuality and attendance to ensure a smooth working environment for the department.
· The ability to learn and navigate through our shop pages while organizing and labelling parts correctly through the production processes
· Execute additional tasks as needed
Experience
· High school diploma or GED
Skills
· Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Resourceful, problem-solver, able to prioritize and multitask
· Detail oriented and organized
· Able to communicate effectively with great people skills & a sense of humor

Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to handle objects, tools or tools or tools or reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch and walk for up to 8 hours. The employee must frequently lift to 50 pounds; the employee is required to request assistance when lifting anything exceeding 50 pounds. The employee is frequently pushing and pulling and occasionally up to 70 pounds.
