Mini-Circuits designs, manufactures and distributes integrated circuits, modules, and sub-systems for high-performance radio frequency (RF) and microwave applications. Position Summary:
The Test Engineer is responsible for developing and supporting the production test department. This position is also responsible for performing electrical tests of RF components and assessing the integrity of the tests.
Salary Range: $80,000-89,000 per year
Job Functions:
- Operate, calibrate and maintain all test equipment, including PNA-X vector network analyzers and other associated equipment such as spectrum analyzers, signal generators.
- As assigned by the manager or supervisor, assists with the completion of test jobs such as TB, Test Fixture and power handling tests, as required.
- Trouble-shoot RF measurement setups to resolve issues.
- Summarize test results and generates written reports.
- Ensure that test accessories and tools are readily available, and stations are equipped with calibrated and functional equipment.
- Assist members in resolving test setup problems when encountered and/or provide known solutions to test-related problems.
- Track and follow up on Engineering runs that are on “Hold Status” due to performance problems.
- Verify that every Production/Engineering run tested meets the latest model revision electrical specification.
- Evaluate the department resource requirements to achieve maximum output.
- Review Member’s feedback and suggest improvements for the test department, when applicable.
- Provides training to new and existing members, including cross-training where applicable.
- Performs periodic review of department documented and Company procedures (CP’s).
- When changes are identified, make the markup, and prepare the revised documents for ECOs.
- Maintain high quality and production yields.
- Prepare test reports and data summaries.
- Test, tune and troubleshoot integrated assemblies when required.
- Generate test, tune and calibration procedures for all E-Run projects and review with supervisor. Assist in the transition to production departments.
- Interface with production test members on occasions when cross-functional training is required.
- Identify gaps in processes and equipment capabilities.
- Manage documentation, qualification tests, validation reports, and supporting analysis, in accordance with the company’s quality standards.
- Assist with the training and development of new and existing members, including cross-training where applicable.
- Partner with the department's Team Leader in defining objectives, setting expectations, and tracking productivity for members.
- Assist with automation of the test platforms.
- Communicate with the design and cross-functional teams for any queries or to share test data.
- Assist with calibration and maintenance of test fixtures.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering plus zero (0) to two (2) years of experience in a related field. Work experience may be substituted for a Master's degree in a related field.
- Practical knowledge of testing and measuring MMIC, LTCC, and ferrite core and wire products, including couplers, dividers, baluns, transformers, mixers, and amplifiers.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment with changing priorities.
- Experience in microwave and millimeter-wave hardware test and measurement up to 40 GHz; ability to validate results against theory and expectations.
- Hands-on ability to assemble, tune, test, and troubleshoot hardware in a laboratory environment.

- Must be able to move Test equipment occasionally (when required) for setup preparation or during calibration cycle.
- Ability to read and interpret schematic diagrams and assembly drawings.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English required.
