About the role

Shift 4:45pm to 1:15 am Monday-Friday

The Black and White Press Operator is a highly active and motivated individual who is responsible for quickly and adequately producing detailed, high-quality printed materials in a time sensitive atmosphere utilizing high speed digital printers.  
Often, successful digital print operators must self-manage as they have numerous printing projects going at the same time and create schedules to reflect these various deadlines. In addition, operators may also need to play the role of a digital press technician if maintenance on one of the machines is required. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Print all documents as assigned to include setting up and formatting documents on OCE pre-flight software
  • Stock machines as needed
  • Read and understand job paperwork
  • Ensure jobs are within quality standards
  • Move jobs to next step of Production Workflow
  • Troubleshoot and perform light maintenance on equipment as needed
  • Perform light bindery duties as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills Knowledge and Expertise

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Six (6) months experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience running digital printers in a fast-paced environment is a plus
  • Must have basic computer skills
  • Must be able to work under deadlines and pressure to meet goals
  • Must be dependable; have the ability to work overtime with little or no notice
  • Team-oriented and flexible
Essential Job Functions:
  • Ability to stand and walk frequently
  • Ability to bend, stoop, reach and lift up to 50 lbs occasionally

  • Communication Skills: Listens to understand and asks clarifying questions when messages are unclear
