What You'll Do As a Software Engineer II in the Data Archival and Retention team, you will play a crucial role in improving Mimecast's offerings, quality and customer satisfaction. Your responsibilities will include: Develop, and deliver high-quality sprint tasks, contributing to high quality, robust and scalable solutions. Perform peer reviews of your team members' deliverables, fostering collaboration and a focus on quality. Build REST-based microservices using Java (Java 11 and above) and leverage AWS services for modernized, cloud-native applications. Contribute to our drive of Modernizing legacy systems, transitioning to AWS to improve reliability, scalability, and cost-efficiency. Actively contribute to a culture of learning, innovation, and teamwork within the organization. Create and maintain technical documentation for architectures, processes, and procedures, ensuring clarity and accessibility. Participate in critical incident support and implement preventive measures to minimize disruptions. Analyze and optimize AWS usage, recommending cost-saving strategies without compromising performance or reliability. Write resilient, secure, and efficient code to minimize downtime while ensuring top-notch performance.
