Job Overview: We are looking for an organized and motivated Junior Tester to become part of our quality assurance team. In this role, you will collaborate with developers, project managers, and fellow testers to ensure software applications are reliable, efficient, and meet high-quality standards. This position is ideal for those starting their journey in software testing and seeking growth in a dynamic work environment. Primary Responsibilities: Test Preparation and Execution: Analyze and review system requirements and specifications. Perform manual testing for applications across web, mobile, and desktop platforms. Support the creation, execution, and maintenance of automated test scripts where applicable. Defect Identification and Reporting: Detect, document, and report software bugs using tools like Jira or Bugzilla. Work closely with developers to resolve identified issues. Quality Assurance Activities: Conduct functional, performance, and regression testing. Verify fixes to ensure systems function as expected. Documentation: Maintain accurate test records and regularly update team leads. Draft and update user manuals or training materials as necessary. Skills and Requirements: Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a similar discipline. Technical Expertise: Basic knowledge of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing life cycle (STLC). Familiarity with testing techniques like black-box and white-box testing. Experience with bug-tracking or test management tools is advantageous. Understanding of programming fundamentals is a plus. Core Competencies: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Strong attention to detail with a focus on product quality. Effective communication and collaboration skills. Preferred Qualifications: Up to one year of experience in software testing, including internships or academic projects. Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies is a bonus.
