Special Education Homebound Teacher for Millard Public Schools

Millard Public Schools is seeking a compassionate and skilled Special Education Homebound Teacher to provide high-quality, individualized instruction to students with disabilities who are unable to attend school due to medical or extenuating circumstances. This role plays a critical part in ensuring continuity of learning and compliance with students’ IEPs while partnering closely with families, school teams, and service providers.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver specially designed instruction in home or alternative settings aligned to each student’s IEP

• Collaborate with building teams, case managers, and related service providers to support student progress

• Monitor, document, and communicate student progress and instructional needs

• Maintain compliance with district, state, and federal special education requirements

• Build positive, professional relationships with students, families, and school teams

Qualifications:

• Nebraska Department of Education teaching certificate with Special Education certification/ endorsement

• Strong instructional, organizational, and communication skills

• Ability to work independently while collaborating with school-based teams and families

Posting & Hiring Information:
All certificated positions are posted for a minimum of one week. Depending on the size of the applicant pool, postings may be extended beyond one week. The special education leadership team may begin scheduling interviews prior to the posting end date; however, no offers will be made until the position has been posted for at least one full week.
