We are looking for a Junior Portfolio Analyst to join our Asset Management Netherlands team at the Mileway headquarters in Amsterdam. As part of our young and dynamic team, you’ll work closely with your direct colleagues in the Dutch Asset Management team and engage with various central teams at our headquarters.


Reporting directly to our Senior Portfolio Analyst, you will help drive the development of our 2.3 million m² portfolio in the Netherlands and strengthen our leadership in the last-mile logistics real estate market. Guided by experienced colleagues, you will conduct in-depth analyses and develop the market expertise needed to grow our business. You provide crucial support and market-specific insights to help optimize our performance and ensure effective reporting to our stakeholders. You will also work closely with our Portfolio Finance & Management Team, either on ad-hoc or long-term projects.

What you’ll do


  • Build together with the Senior Portfolio Analyst and Country director the portfolio strategy and the annual business plan and manage the progress of it through the year.
  • Provide analytical support to the Country Director and Asset Management team on portfolio performance, investment analyses, development scenarios, due diligence, and new opportunities. Explaining country performance such as variance to budget on operational KPI’s, NOI and net Cashflow including forecasting
  • Assist (coordination with the local and central teams) on refinancing exercise, valuation, preparation of power point presentations to Investment Committee (acquisitions, disposals, leasing, capex, write-offs, and other strategic topics)
  • Perform in-depth asset- and portfolio-level analysis (leasing, capex, NOI, etc.) and prepare high-quality reporting on past, current and projected performance.
  • Develop a strong commercial understanding of the assets and the market.
  • Provide integral support in the hold/sell analysis of individual assets
  • Collaborate with the central Portfolio & Financial Management team in Amsterdam, providing country-specific data for regular and ad-hoc reporting.
  • Support asset hold/sell analyses, collaborate on business plans and annual budgets.
  • Analyze and identify specific asset level risks
  • Excel in the systems used to manage and track portfolio performance (Yardi, Excel, Power BI, etc.) and help optimize systems and processes.


What you’ll bring


  • Up to three years’ experience in a relevant area, ideally in private equity or asset management, and preferably with a focus on real estate.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills with the ability to work with large, complex datasets (Excel).
  • A strong academic background in a relevant area, for example in Finance, Real Estate or Engineering studies.
  • Strong organizational skills, you are able to work on multiple projects at the same time and you don’t miss deadlines.
  • Commercial mindset and great communication skills. You understand the numbers and you can explain to others what they mean
  • Your ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. You’re motivated by short deadlines and can move quickly when timings are tight
  • Your strong team attitude. You have a knack for building relationships across all areas within a fast-paced environment
  • Your excellent problem-solving skills. You know how to solve problems and have the tenacity to get things done.
  • Language skills. You’ll need to be fluent in Dutch and have an excellent command of English.
  • Your head for data. You’ll be able to digitize and track new data, and take it all in your stride.
