We are seeking a Legal Writer/Immigration Paralegal to support our busy Immigration Practice Group in our Baltimore, MD office. The person in this role will work closely with attorneys to prepare narrative, writing-focused nonimmigrant and immigrant visa petitions and applications. Responsibilities:

  • Draft support letters and prepare supporting evidence for O-1 visa, EB-1A (Extraordinary Ability), EB-1B (Outstanding Researchers/Professors), EB-2 (National Interest Waiver)
  • Assist attorney with developing case strategy.
  • Assist with preparing and filing nonimmigrant and immigrant petitions.
  • Communicate with clients regarding routine and case specific matters.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
  • 1+ years of experience in legal, technical, persuasive, or creative writing.
  • Experience with O-1 visas, EB-1A, EB-1B, and EB-2 NIW preferred but not required.
  • Strong analytical, writing, and editing skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, and manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-faced, document intensive environment.
  • Must exercise the highest level of confidentiality and integrity.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively independently and in a team environment.
  • Detail oriented and highly organized.
  • Demonstrate critical thinking, problem solving and good judgement.

The pay range for this position is $72,000 - $83,000. The pay range provided is in compliance with state, city, or local employment laws and applies to this location only. Actual pay for this position will be determined based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, current market data, and business needs.
