<strong>Job Summary<br></strong><br>
</div>
<div>The <strong>Fitness Trainer </strong>will be responsible for running the Planet Fitness group fitness program (PE@PF). This includes assisting new members in the achievement of their fitness goals by designing a simple workout program and instructing them on the proper use of equipment.</div>

<div>
<strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities: <br></strong><br>
</div>
<ul>
<li>Recruiting new and existing members to take classes. </li>
<li>Logging classes after each session. </li>
<li>Actively assisting members on walk arounds. </li>
<li>Cleaning assigned section of equipment each shift. </li>
<li>Locker room checks every 15 minutes. Beginning and end of shift as well. </li>
<li>Be a brand ambassador by leading a Judgement Free lifestyle. </li>
<li>Uphold rules and policy in the facility.</li>
<li>Conduct and run the Planet Fitness PE@PF program, including creating and following the schedule.</li>
<li>Consult with members regarding their fitness goals and instruct them on how to properly and safely use the equipment.</li>
<li>Create bi-weekly updates consisting of a variety of exercises.</li>
<li>Meet class requirements based on club size and member traffic.</li>
<li>Assist in front desk related activities including: <ul>
<li>Answer phones in a friendly manner and assist callers with a variety of questions.</li>
<li>Check members into the system.</li>
<li>New member sign-up.</li>
<li>Take prospective members on tours.</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Respond to member questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner and elevate to Assistant Manager or Manager as needed.</li>
</ul>
<div>
<strong>Within Two Weeks of employment, fitness instructors must have one of the following certificates:<br></strong>•ACE<br>• NASM <br>• ISSA<br>• NCSF </div>
<div>
<strong>Additionally, <br></strong><br>
</div>
<ul><li>Fitness instructors must be trained on tours, info calls, Datatrak, customer service expectations and have the mandatory Planet Fitness University courses completed. <br><br>
</li></ul>
<div>
<strong>Qualifications / Requirements: <br></strong><br>
</div>
<ul>
<li>High school diploma / GED equivalent required. </li>
<li>CPR certification required. </li>
<li>Nationally credited training certification required </li>
<li>Must be 18 years or order. </li>
<li>Must be punctual. </li>
<li>This position may require overtime, weekends, evenings, and holidays. Must be flexible. </li>

<strong>Physical Demands: <br></strong><br>
</div>
<ul>
<li>Continual standing and walking during shifts. </li>
<li>Continual talking in person or on the phone during shift. </li>
<li>Must be able to occasionally lift 75 pounds. </li>
<li>Frequent climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, pulling, and grasping. Employee must </li>
<li>never put themselves under any equipment. </li>
