Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Python Developer with strong expertise in web scraping and data extraction. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in building scalable scraping solutions and handling complex, dynamic websites. You will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing data extraction systems.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain web scraping solutions using Python
• Build and manage scalable spiders using the Scrapy framework
• Extract, clean, and transform data from various sources (HTML, JSON, APIs)
• Handle JavaScript-heavy websites using Selenium or Playwright when required
• Implement anti-bot techniques (proxies, headers, CAPTCHA handling, etc.)
• Monitor and optimize scraping performance, speed, and reliability
• Debug and resolve issues related to scraping failures or data inconsistencies
• Ensure data accuracy, validation, and proper structuring
• Work with databases to store and manage extracted data
• Collaborate with internal teams to understand data requirements
Required Skills:
• Strong proficiency in Python programming
• Hands-on experience with Scrapy (mandatory)
• Good understanding of HTML, DOM, CSS selectors, and XPath
• Experience with REST APIs and data parsing
• Knowledge of anti-bot techniques and scraping challenges
• Familiarity with databases like MySQL, MongoDB, or PostgreSQL
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
Good to Have:
• Experience with Selenium / Playwright
• Knowledge of asynchronous programming (asyncio, aiohttp)
• Basic understanding of Linux, Docker, or cloud environments
• Experience with large-scale data scraping projects
