We are looking for a Mid-Level Instrumentation Engineer to handle technical evaluation, vendor selection, and techno-commercial offer preparation for instrumentation packages in line with client requirements. The role bridges client technical specifications, vendor documentation, and commercial negotiation to ensure the right product and vendor fit for each project.
Key Responsibilities :
- Review and interpret client technical requirements to identify suitable instrumentation vendors and products
- Evaluate vendor documentation, datasheets, and product certifications to confirm technical compliance
- Prepare, review, and finalize techno-commercial offers — combining technical specifications with commercial terms (pricing, delivery, payment terms, warranty) for client submission
- Compare and analyze vendor techno-commercial bids to recommend the most suitable vendor based on technical fit and commercial competitiveness
- Manage end-to-end vendor coordination — technical queries, document collection, and offer follow-up
- Review vendor-submitted documents (technical bids, compliance sheets, test certificates) for accuracy before client submission
- Liaise with internal teams, clients, and vendors to resolve technical and commercial clarifications
- Maintain organized records of vendor offers, certifications, and correspondence for audit and traceability
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree/Diploma in Instrumentation, Electronics, or related Engineering discipline
- 3–6 years of relevant experience in instrumentation engineering, vendor management, or techno-commercial evaluation (oil & gas / engineering consultancy background preferred)
- Basic to intermediate technical understanding of instrumentation systems, devices, and standards
- Experience preparing or evaluating techno-commercial offers/bids
- Strong vendor management and negotiation coordination skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for client and vendor liaison
- Ability to read technical specifications, certifications, and commercial terms accurately
- Detail-oriented with strong documentation and follow-up discipline
Preferred:
- Exposure to multi-vendor, multi-client project environments
- Familiarity with international compliance/certification standards for instrumentation products
