About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Microsoft Engineer to join our team on a temporary basis in Gurugram, Haryana. This role involves overseeing and managing our global enterprise M365 environment, ensuring its architecture, deployment, and support are aligned with best practices. The successful candidate will serve as a subject matter expert, responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our M365 infrastructure, including Azure, SharePoint, Exchange Online, and Intune. This position offers an excellent opportunity to lead critical projects, mentor junior team members, and contribute to the stability and performance of our organization's digital workspace.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess over 7 years of extensive experience managing and designing corporate IT M365 systems within a global, modern environment. A strong technical background in M365 infrastructure, monitoring principles, and supporting cloud-based technologies is essential. Candidates should have a proven track record of leading deployment projects for new sites, managing ticket queues, and providing expert-level support. Relevant certifications such as Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert are preferred. A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent field is required. The candidate must demonstrate excellent communication skills, teamwork, and the ability to work effectively in a remote, 24x7 operational setting.
Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities include providing end-to-end ownership of the global M365 infrastructure, acting as the subject matter expert in architecture, deployment, and support. The engineer will lead the setup and configuration of M365 systems for new office locations, ensuring seamless integration and operation. They will monitor system health, manage alerts, and perform routine maintenance such as patching, upgrades, and tuning to optimize performance and stability. The role involves developing strategies for major upgrades and performance improvements, ensuring the infrastructure remains reliable and secure. Providing proactive support and troubleshooting for core M365 technologies—including Azure, SharePoint, Exchange Online, and Intune—is vital. Additionally, experience supporting ancillary tools like Slack and Okta is advantageous. The engineer will act as the final escalation point for critical issues, mentor junior team members, manage incident tickets, and collaborate with stakeholders to document procedures, runbooks, and support templates. Flexibility to work in a 24x7 shift environment, including potential on-call rotations, is required to ensure continuous operational excellence.
