Position Summary
We are seeking a versatile and proactive IT Support & Microsoft Administrator to provide ongoing support for our Microsoft Access database environment while serving as a key resource for Microsoft platform administration and end-user technical support.
This role is responsible for maintaining critical payroll-related database operations, supporting Microsoft technologies across the organization, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring reliable day-to-day system performance. The ideal candidate will possess strong Microsoft Access expertise along with hands-on experience administering Microsoft 365 environments and supporting users in a fast-paced operational setting.
Key Responsibilities
Microsoft Access Database Support
- Provide ongoing support, maintenance, and troubleshooting for the Microsoft Access database environment.
- Resolve database-related issues promptly during high-priority processing windows.
- Assist with data validation, reporting, troubleshooting, and performance optimization within Microsoft Access.
- Support database enhancements including forms, queries, reports, and integrations.
- Coordinate with business stakeholders to ensure operational alignment and support coverage expectations.
- Maintain documentation for processes, issue resolutions, and support procedures.
Microsoft Administration & General IT Support
- Administer and support Microsoft 365 and related Microsoft technologies.
- Manage and support:
- Microsoft Outlook
- Microsoft Teams
- SharePoint
- OneDrive
- Azure Active Directory / Entra ID
- User accounts, permissions, and licensing
- Perform onboarding and offboarding activities including account provisioning and access management.
- Troubleshoot Microsoft application, authentication, connectivity, and end-user support issues.
- Support workstation setup, software installations, printer configuration, and basic hardware troubleshooting.
- Assist with security administration including password resets, MFA support, and compliance-related tasks.
- Maintain IT system documentation and knowledge base articles.
- Coordinate with internal IT teams and external vendors when required.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience supporting Microsoft Access databases and Microsoft environments.
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Access, including:
- Queries
- Forms
- Reports
- Troubleshooting
- Experience administering Microsoft 365 environments.
- Familiarity with Azure AD / Entra ID administration and user management.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize effectively during critical operational support windows.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across business and IT teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting payroll systems or financial processing environments.
- Knowledge of:
- VBA (Visual Basic for Applications)
- SQL
- Database scripting
- Experience with SharePoint administration and Microsoft Teams support.
- Understanding of Microsoft security and compliance best practices.
- Experience working in fast-paced operational support environments.
