About the role
As part of our technical team you will perform precision pipetting for assays, handle media preparation, perform cultural plate counts, and support daily lab operations with a focus on quality and consistency. This is a hands-on, practical role for someone who organizes their workload to maximize throughput while maintaining excellent documentation and lab hygiene.
What you’ll do
- Execute ELISA-style workflows from sample prep to data recording, following SOPs and QC checks.
- Perform plate counts, colony enumeration, media prep, and sterility checks.
- Operate and maintain electronic pipettes and other liquid-handling tools; keep calibration records.
-Prepare media, sterilize and pipette in a fill-finish workflow.
- Keep the lab clean and orderly: washing, sterilizing, and maintaining glassware and equipment without needing prompting.
- Manage routine documentation, enter results, and assist with inventory control.
- Participate in QA activities, follow safety protocols, and report deviations.
-Maintain inventory record keeping and prepare purchase orders.
We prefer candidates with-
- 2–5 years’ practical microbiology experience with ELISA, electronic pipetting, and plate count techniques.
- Highly detail oriented, reliable, and ethically grounded.
- Motivated self-starter who organizes tasks and handles repetitive work with focus and discipline.
- Unwavering commitment to cleanliness and doing basic lab tasks (washing, cleaning) cheerfully.
- Strong communicator, good record-keeping, and comfortable with basic lab software.
Qualifications
- BSc/MSc in Microbiology, Biotechnology, or related discipline.
- Proven lab experience and references that speak to reliability and quality focus.
- Familiarity with GMP/GLP practices is a plus.
