Role Description
We are seeking a full-time Microalgae Expert to join our team in Jaipur, Rajasthan & Mumbai. This role combines on-site collaboration with responsibilities include conducting research on microalgae cultivation and optimization, managing microalgae growth systems, developing scalable solutions for CO₂ capture, and collaborating with the R&D team to improve OceanTree technology. The role also involves analyzing data, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and safety standards.
Qualifications
- Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of microalgae biology, cultivation techniques, and bioengineering processes
- Research & Development: Proficient in experimental design, data analysis, and leveraging tools for lab-scale and pilot-scale projects
- Environmental Sciences: Knowledge of CO₂ sequestration and environmental sustainability practices
- Project Management: Strong skills in organizing timelines, managing resources, and coordinating with cross-functional teams
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with compliance and safety protocols related to biotechnology and environmental solutions
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills to articulate complex findings effectively
- Preferred Qualifications: Master’s or PhD in Microbiology, Environmental Science, Biotechnology, or a related field; previous experience in microalgae or similar projects
- Additional Strengths: Ability to innovate, think critically, and solve complex challenges in a dynamic environment
Requirements
• Master’s degree (or higher) in Microbiology, Biotechnology, Phycology, or related field
• Strong hands-on experience in microalgae cultivation and processing
• Proven experience with PBR systems
• Exposure to both commercial projects and research work
• Problem-solving mindset with ability to work in dynamic startup environment
