Job Summary:
The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for accurately storing, kitting and moving material to point of use, transacting material through the ERP system, reconciling inventory discrepancies, communicating material placement and flow with Leads and Planners, monitoring shipping schedule, participating in continuous improvement initiatives and auditing inventory locations and product kits.
Key Responsibilities:
· Material handling; store incoming material in proper locations.
· Kit assemblies based on bills of material and properly label parts for Production.
· Accurately transact the inventory movement in the ERP system.
· Conduct daily cycle counts.
· Keep the warehouses clean and organized. Operate warehouse equipment as needed.
· Reconcile inventory discrepancies, reporting any problems to Supervisor.
· Regular communication with Production Leads / Planners regarding material placement and flow.
· Daily monitoring of shipping schedule and communication with shipping personnel to ensure on-time delivery.
· Participate in and occasionally lead continuous improvement initiatives assigned to the team.
· Routine audits of inventory locations and product kits to ensure accuracy and organization.
Required Qualifications:
· High school diploma or GED.
· One year of relevant inventory control experience.
· Strong attention to detail.
· Strong computer skills, including basic to intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, e-mail).
· Ability to be on your feet for extended periods of time.
Preferred Qualifications:
· 2+ years’ inventory control experience.
· Ability to navigate ERP systems.
· Ability to operate warehouse equipment (pallet jack, forklift, order picker).

· Required to stand for extended amounts of time and must be able to bend, stretch, twist, squat, and reach across all planes.
· Ability to operate a pallet jack, forklift, or other large machinery, as necessary.
· Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
· May be required to lift, carry, push, and pull items weighing 1 to 25 pounds 80% of the time and 26 – 75 pounds 20% of the time.
· May be exposed to high noise levels for short amounts of time when working near manufacturing equipment. Noise levels range between 70-90 decibels (hearing protection provided).
