Description
We are looking for a course developer to rebuild content in CourseArc, a course authoring tool, to make it more accessible. This is for a 2-semester World History and Geography course, although content expertise is not a requirement. Primary responsibilities of this position include the following:
- Develop new lesson and unit review pages in CourseArc using existing content and script documents.
- Increase accessibility of the content, including adding alt text where needed, enabling keyboard navigation, etc. It will also include adding image and content citations where appropriate.
- Out of scope: updating content or redesigning of content.
This position will include access to CourseArc and relevant training. You may be asked to meet once a week with the instructional designer for approximately 1 hour during the hours of 9:00 am – 5:00 pm EST. Other than that, you are free to work on your own time. There is expected to be approximately 75 hours of work, with compensation to be $2,250. Work should be completed by no later than June 5, 2026. This is a remote, independent contractor position.
