Program Officer, Jobs & Livelihoods

The Michael & Susan Dell Foundation is seeking a talented Program Officer to join our Jobs & Livelihoods team. In this role, you will support the foundation's efforts to expand economic opportunity for low-income individuals and underserved communities. As a Program Officer, you will: • Develop and manage a portfolio of grants and investments aimed at improving employment outcomes, entrepreneurship, and financial security. • Identify and assess potential grantee and investment partners, conduct due diligence, and make funding recommendations. • Monitor grantee and investee performance, provide strategic support, and share learnings. • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to drive progress on the foundation's jobs and livelihoods priorities. • Contribute to the team's thought leadership and the foundation's broader strategy. Qualifications: • 5-7 years of relevant experience in roles such as program management, strategy consulting, impact investing, or social enterprise development. • Familiarity with workforce development, microenterprise, or financial inclusion programs and interventions. • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. • Passion for using data and evidence to drive social change. • Bachelor's degree required, advanced degree preferred.
